What a beautiful day to be out on the water. Sun shining, seas calm, and the winds were light. I think this picture says it all. Except you have to look close to see the crabs. But they're there. Limits of Rockfish, over 1 around on the lings and limits of crabs!! Lots of nice reds too! We look forward to more trips like this one! Fish-On!!

Pulled another combo trip today. Hit the weather just right again! Everything was biting today. Had a light load, but all had fun and went home with lots of seafood. Limits of crabs, limits of rockfish, and one ling cod per angler!! Trevor Thomas from Temecula Ca. caught his share including this nice ling and copper rockfish. Fishing with medium tackle with 30 lb test line with a 6oz. torpedo jig. below a teaser hook. Again, fished in about 150' of water 6 miles north.

Crabbing still wide open. The fish played a little hard to get. Fished and crabbed in the same areas. Weather about the same. Had about 6 rockfish,not quite a ling a piece, and of course 10 crabs per angler. Don Banghart from Redding is showing off his biggest of 2 ling cod weighing it at 12 pounds. Nice job Don!!

We went after some fish today. Had an awesome trip today. The weather was very nice. The ocean was flat, the winds were calm and it was fairly warm. Fished up on the reef again. Same depth (about 150') with a nice slow drift. Ended up with 15 lings for a 10 anglers. About 3/4 limits of rockfish. Nice grade and nice variety. Had several Vermillions, and quite a few Coppers too. Ling cod up to about 12 lbs. Crabs awesome too. Reran our short soak pots and got 5 crabs a pot. We ran them again on the way home and pulled another 5 crab per pot. Got some nice jumbo's again. Limits of crabs again!!

Went after some fish today. Had to work hard for what we got. The fish weren't too hungry. We had a great time trying anyway! We did manage to scratch up a couple of lings though. Warren, from the Breakfast Club, landed this nice ling. Crank up the smoker. Ocean picked up just a bit. Fished up north on the Cleon reef in about 160' of water. The crabs are still holding up!! Came back to the dock with 100 again. Heat up the butter!!

Back on line. Got a new camera. Had to put the other one in the shop. Happy new year to all! Didn't try for any fish today. Went after the crabs though! Got limits of nice jumbo's. Fished in 50' of water up off Ten Mile beach, about half way up the beach. This pot(picture), I think had 11 keepers in it. Ocean was calm, and the crab were biting! Returned to the dock with 100 crabs!! Fish-On!!
