Fishing mostly on the weekends. Still not much action in the salmon department. Scored a nice one today though. 23lbs caught by Jan Matherly from Pilot Hill Ca. Crabbing started to slow down last weekend. Still getting about 1/2 limits. But definitely showing signs that they may be slow for awhile. Hopefully the fishing will pick up the slack. Fished up north today off Cleone reef in about 150 ft of water. Had 5 undersized salmon as well today. A little bit of action, but we're looking for it to pick up soon. Ocean conditions have been favorable. Lots of whales too!! Fish-On!

First salmon trip of the year for the Telstar*. Starting off a bit slow, but we managed to land one! Lost a couple too. Can't land them all. 6 anglers, 1 salmon, and limits of crabs. The bait looks good, the water temperature is 52 degrees, and the ocean was nice. Glen Leavitt from Ukiah was the lucky angler to go home with the salmon. But everyone, went home with 10 nice crabs. Had some real jumbo crabs too. Fishing north about 5 miles in about 150 feet of water. Trolling with flashers and anchovies. Sounded like we did about the average on the ocean. Some good action up off of Shelter Cove, but that's too far of a run for us. Hopefully, they'll move down here in a couple of days. We'll be waiting for them.
