Averaging 1 1/2 fish per rod. Still not the size we would like to see, but action nevertheless. Weather picked up mid week, but on Tuesday it laid right down. Biggest fish of the week was 26 pounds. Fished mostly Northwest from .5 to 3.5 miles. Seems to be fish most everywhere. We are searching for the big ones. Picture; Annual trip for these regulars. Jim Hudson's group from Willows. Looks like fun huh?! Fish-on!!

Some smaller fish moved in, but there are lots of them!! Lots of action. Today was our first Delux trip. Came in early with limits for 10 anglers. Picture says it all. Fished about 1.5 miles north of the whistle buoy in 200 ft of water. Green rotary was working pretty hot, but everything out had action on it. Fish were hitting up on the shallow lines. Nice day on the water!!

Fishing has been slow this week. Weather has been beautiful though. I guess if the fish are not going to bite, it might as well be a nice ocean. Ended up with less than a fish per rod during the week. Today we hit a nice little patch of fish about 7 miles northwest of the buoy in about 400 ft of water. Watermelon apex was a hot item during the bite. Big fish of the week are as follows; Emilee Potter from Sac.-21lbs, Steve Wulfert from Chico-20lbs, Jon Wright form Scotts Valley-23lbs, Chester Linton from Grassvalley-26lbs, Dennis Lawrence form Cobb-16lbs, Steve Jatala from Grassvalley-22lbs, Marty Klier from Lakeport-25lbs, and Harley Matney form Oroville-24lbs. Not a lot of fish, but some real nice ones! Picture; Steve Hart form San Francisco showing off his nice pair of King salmon he landed on Saturday morning's trip. Good job Steve-O!!!

The wind is backing off. On Monday and Tuesday it blew about 25 kts. Today the ocean was still a little bit bumpy, but the winds were only about 10 to 15 kts. Ended up with only 13 fish for 17 anglers. Nothing real big. Biggest one was about 12 pounds. Fished about 4.5 miles north in about 300 ft of water. The bow rods were hot today. Caught a nice limit on a green crocodile spoon with no flasher at 22 pulls with a 2 lb ball. Had one group on the boat with all the fish, but they were kind enough to share with the other customers so just about everyone got to take some fish home. Sounds like the seas are going to calm for the weekend. Let's hope the fish keep picking up as well.

Fishing has been pretty good this week. Earlier in the week we averaged between one and one and a half fish per rod. Our highest count was on Friday with 31 fish for 18 anglers. Thursday the 10th, we hit the dock at 9:45 with 20 fish. Saturday morning was a bit disappointing for us. We lost most of the fish we had on (including some to the sea lions). The afternoon trip proved to be more productive. We ended up with limits for 10 anglers (picture). Biggest one was 24 pounds caught by Fred Ducey from Gualala Ca. Still fishing same area with the same setups. Fish-On!!

Fish are starting to bite again. Ended up with 13 fish for 16 anglers. Had a few folks go home with nothing (sorry) and some went home with coolers full! Regular Lou Ganzalez from Sonora went home with a pair of 21 pound kings!! Nice job Lou. He was the last one to hook a fish, and he ended up with a nice limit. He was fishing with a green Hot Spot flasher with a hoochie to match. Still fishing about 2 miles NW of the whistle buoy in 240 ft of water. Weather getting a bit bumpy. Winds were out of the northwest at about 20 mph. Good fishing weather!

Just under 1 1/2 fish around. Everybody had action today. Ocean was flat, winds calm and fish were hungry! Biggest fish of the trip (and the year so far) was caught by Andrew Watt from San Francisco weighing in at 29 lbs! Tommy Harris also from San Francisco had the next runner up weighing in at 24 lbs. Looks like fish for dinner! Picture is from the morning trip. In the afternoon, the fishing slowed down. We ended up scratching out only 1/2 a fish per rod. Can't get them every trip. Ocean started to pick up a little bit. Sounds like the wind is going to blow during the week. Good fishing weather!! Fish-On!!

Fishing was great this week!! On Monday we were a couple fish shy of limits. If the sealion's weren't so hungry, we would've had no problem getting limits. Biggest one of the day was 24 lbs caught by Davie Pina out of Napa. Thursday was our last crab combo of the season. We did great. 23 fish for 18 anglers and 70 crabs. Not bad on the crabs for being this late in the season. Still fishing north in about 150 to 200 ft of water. On Friday, we averaged 1 1/2 fish per angler. Green salmon rotary killer was the hot ticket for the day. Picture; Trey Harris and dad Tommy showing off Trey's first fish (first one on the boat for the trip as well). Think he's hooked? Nice one Trey!! Trey is from San Francisco.
