09/17/05--a.m. Rockfishing is great! Ocean is nice! No beter place to be than on the ocean out of Fort Bragg Ca. Had limits of rockfish for a dozen anglers with 8 nice lingcod. Fished south about 5 miles just below the lighthouse. Fished with light tackle with 3 oz jigs with a teaser hook above. Good time by all!!!

P.M. Fished north 3 miles off Pudding Creek in about 90 ft of water with the same gear. Found a spot where the ling cod were hungry. Ended up limits of rockfish for 6 anglers and 9 lings. Nice grade of lings. Big catch of the day was 2 lings landed once by Fran Ducey from Gualala (picture). Combined weight was 27 pounds. Fran caught them on a 3 pound black rockfish. And she had to ask why her shoulder was sore after battling these bad boys!! Fish-On!!
