Happy Memorial Day!! Had a 9:00 departure today. Figured I would go get a limit of abalone before hand since we had some low tides. Nice way to start the day. Ocean was flat, winds were calm and the visibility was excellent! On top of that, the fish were biting!! We fished south of the harbor about 2.5 miles in 280 ft of water. Ended up with 17 fish for 10 anglers. Biggest one was landed by Dennis Lawrence from Cobb Mt. weighing in at 26 lbs!! Most of our fish were about 15 lbs. The fish were down deeper than they've been running. We caught them down about 50 ft with a 2 lb lead. A green salmon rotary killer was the hot ticket. Runner up was a scrambled egg or rattlesnake hoochie with an anchovy in it behind a flasher. Fun was had by all!!!
