Nice weather!!

May 11th, 2011 report– Fishing was pretty slow today. The ocean was flat and the winds were calm. First I dropped 20 crab pots up north on the beach in about 20-25 ft of water. I figured that by the time we were done with that I might hear of a good fishing spot. Not so. So we ran west till I found some bait and put in our salmon gear. Not much action getting reported from all my feelers out there. Not much happening where I’m at. The water temp is a bit cool (48 degrees). Finally we hooked up are one and only bit of action. Richard and Tracy our on their honeymoon from Wichita and would like nothing better than to taste some of our fresh wild ocean caught salmon. Well, there you have it! Tracy scored! A nice 9 pound king. Just right for eating. Good job Tracy. At about 12:30 I decided to go in and run our crab pots. 84 nice jumbo’s. 8 around for everybody on the crabs!!! Thank goodness for the good crabbing! Fish-On!
