August 31st report

8/31/2015–The salmon were a bit scarce this summer so I have been mostly going after rockfish and lingcod. The grade of fish and the number of lingcod this summer has been some of the best I’ve seen in years! Today we fished up north between Virgin Creek and Ward ave in about 80 to 90 feet of water. We found a couple of little patches of lingcod and scored quite a few in a short amount of time. Shannon Waslh had the catch of the day with 2 big lingcod’s hanging on the same rockfish. We landed both of them. End score was limits of rockfish and 1 1/2 lingcod per angler! Nice job everybody!
